Can we possibly blame ONE MORE THING on it???
I can handle the price of vegetables and fruits going up, that's pretty much a given when any weather conditions don't make things just perfectly hunky dory for the farmers. I live in farm country, I'm used to "it's too wet, it's too dry, it's too too TOO".
And all these floods, what a tragedy for the people involved, what losses and disruptions of their lives. And the storms, the snows, the hurricanes, all that is weather, makes sense though, after all El Nino is a weather issue.
And sure, I'm kinda sorta gullible, I'll even buy into the theory that El Nino and his bride, La Nina have been responsible for everything from hair loss to the overpopulation of fireflies. The Dow Jones, the GM strike, the reason the mailman put someone else's mail in your box...sure, I can be talked into the 'blame it on ninoism' that's sweeping the country.
But, COW STRESS?????
They are so stressed by all this that the supply of butterfat has reached an all time low????????
This does not bode well for a Ben & Jerry addict!
They can send a man to the moon and can't calm down a bovine beast? They stick a hot iron on a bull to brand them....that's NOT stress?????? I need a week's sick leave when I slip with my curling iron! Flies eat on them all day...cowboys herd cattle on horses, chase them with dogs...that's not stress? They artificially inseminate them for goodness sakes...if they can fake an orgasm, can't they fake butterfat? They hook a bunch of tubes up to them and suck their milk out by machine like having a couple dozen adult size leeches attached to them. Ever breast fed a baby with teeth? They live outside in the hot, in the cold, they staple identifications to their ears, they have to eat grass...with dirt on it...
Stressed by the weather...It's udderly ridiculous!
Play them music, hire a masseuse, give em Prozac...ah nevermind...
Mooooove over you dairy farmers...I'm about to become self proclaimed lactose intolerant!
